Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 9 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
• 4x10 Day Shifts
• Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI imaging procedures according to departmental protocols
• Position patients and imaging coils to obtain optimal diagnostic studies
• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and provide clear instructions
• Review patient safety questionnaires prior to MRI examinations
• Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS
• Complete imaging studies and documentation within the Radiology Information System (IDX)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRI rooms and equipment
• Maintain patient records and scan relevant documentation into the system
• Schedule examinations and accurately document patient tracking information
• Assist physicians as needed during procedures
• Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control protocols
• Participate in professional development and departmental education activities
• Report equipment issues and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved Radiologic Technology program required
• Current New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology required
• ARRT MRI Certification required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, MRI physics, and imaging procedures required
• Excellent technical and patient care skills required

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
• Experience with PACS and Radiology Information Systems preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills preferred
