Cook

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking an ambitious, food-passionate cook who takes pride in showcasing their talents to join our experienced team at a private school in Oakdale, CT. Here, you will prepare food from scratch, so you will need the ability to follow recipes, prepare and present great-tasting food, maintain a clean, organized workspace, and work well with others.

We offer continuous training and coaching, opportunities to work at other schools as needed, uniforms, meals, and a job that will help you grow.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Available overtime for catering events in the evenings or on the weekend.

What You'll Do:

Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests' expectations.
Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).

What You'll Need:

Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.
