Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist Mozaic (a chapter of NYSARC) is looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable (A/R) Billing Specialist in Waterloo, NY. Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist Duties And Responsibilities The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the financial health of our organization by managing complex healthcare billing and grant vouchering processes across a variety of program services. In this position, you'll use your expertise and sound judgment to prepare and submit Medicaid and third-party insurance claims with accuracy and efficiency. You'll also serve as a trusted resource within the billing team, providing guidance on procedures, regulations, and system processes while helping maintain precise accounts receivable records. Supervision Received: Senior Accountant A/R Billing Specialist Minimum Qualifications A High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of billing experience are required. Strong skills in analyzing revenue and receivable accounts, as well as accurate entry of accounting data, are essential. This position demands a high level of interpersonal communication, independent decision-making, and leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software is required. Familiarity with accounting practices and non-profit financial operations is preferred. Candidates should be well-versed in Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance claim billing procedures, utilizing specialized software such as Medisked and Millin Pro. (Specialized software training will be provided post-hire, if necessary.)
