Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Join a dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), providing comprehensive patient care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Include Performing age-specific assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing treatment strategies based on patient data, physician orders, and procedure criteria. Maintaining knowledge of all nursing aspects in routine and emergency situations, communicating patient condition changes promptly, and administering medications according to policies. Evaluating patient progress, providing discharge education, and coordinating ongoing care with families and team members. Delegating tasks, supervising team members, and ensuring high standards of care through effective organization, prioritization, and collaboration. Applying evidence-based practices and adhering to professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent. No prior experience required. Valid RN license in Missouri or a Compact State, along with BLS and ALS or equivalent certifications. Additional certifications such as PALS or NRP are preferred. Skills And Physical Requirements Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and maneuvering patients and equipment. Proficiency in visual, auditory, and olfactory senses for patient monitoring.
