Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Description

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is an allied health professional responsible for performing diagnostic examinations at the request of an Interventional Cardiologist during invasive and noninvasive cardiology, as well as peripheral vascular study procedures. The technologist collects and records subjective data to facilitate accurate anatomical and physiological diagnoses for patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic examinations in accordance with established protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the Interventional Cardiologist during procedures.
• Collect and record patient data accurately to aid in diagnosis.
• Stay current with advances in cardiovascular technology and techniques.
• Comply with all safety and procedural guidelines during examinations and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent from an accredited Cardiovascular Training Program or Allied Health Program.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty is necessary.
• Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

Schedule

This position operates on a schedule of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a call commitment of one weeknight and one weekend per month.
