Yard Supervisor – Working SupervisorCareer Opportunity | $30–$35/HRLocation: North Ridgeville, OH Pay: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday Employment Type: Temp-to-HireBear Staffing is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor for a career opportunity with a leading modular building and storage solutions company in North Ridgeville, OH.This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows how to lead a crew but isn't afraid to grab the tools and work alongside the team.The Yard Supervisor will spend approximately 40% of the role coordinating and leading daily yard operations and 60% performing hands-on repairs, maintenance, inspections, and refurbishment of modular units.We're looking for someone with a combination of construction or maintenance experience, leadership ability, strong organization, and a safety-first mindset who can keep people, projects, and units moving efficiently.What You'll DoYard & Team Leadership – Approximately 40%Coordinate daily yard operations and scheduled projectsAssign and prioritize work for Yard Technicians, Field Service Technicians, drivers, and other yard personnelMonitor unit repair, cleaning, maintenance, preparation, and delivery schedulesEnsure units are completed on time and meet company quality standardsCoordinate personnel and resources based on daily operational needsOrder necessary parts, materials, and suppliesMaintain and monitor inventoryTrain and coach yard employees on company procedures and safety requirementsPromote accountability, teamwork, productivity, and a positive work environmentWork closely with branch and operations management to keep daily operations on trackHands-On Unit Repair & Refurbishment – Approximately 60%Work directly alongside the team completing repairs, maintenance, and refurbishmentPrepare modular buildings and mobile office units for customer rentalPerform carpentry, general construction, and basic electrical repairsMake repairs and modifications to units as neededInspect incoming and outgoing units for condition and qualityDocument unit condition and required repairsTake photographs and complete required unit documentationProperly store and organize units within the yardSafely operate hand and power toolsVisit customer job sites and interact professionally with customers when neededEnsure completed units meet company quality and safety standardsWhat We're Looking For4+ years of related experience in construction, maintenance, commercial facilities, modular buildings, or a similar hands-on environmentPrevious experience leading, supervising, or directing a teamAbility to assign work, prioritize projects, and keep a team on scheduleHands-on construction and repair experienceCarpentry and basic electrical knowledgeComfortable using hand and power toolsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityAbility to inspect work and hold employees accountable to quality standardsStrong organization and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsBasic proficiency with Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license and ability to operate company vehiclesHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to respond to changing priorities and emergency situations when necessaryPhysical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on position.
