This travel assignment provides a valuable opportunity to work alongside top surgical teams in a busy CardioVascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting, handling specialized equipment and supporting complex procedures. Youll collaborate with respected healthcare professionals, observe innovative surgical and leadership practices, and build your resume with sought-after experience in pediatric cardiovascular surgery. Working in a leading metropolitan hospital empowers you to expand your skill set while discovering new surroundings during your downtime.

Schedule/Hours:

• 2:30 pm 11:00 pm shift
• On call rotation

Key Qualifications:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT
• Proven experience providing perioperative care in a CVOR setting
• Expertise in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and assisting with complex operative procedures
• Ability to act as a resource and role model for less experienced staff
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular procedures
• Scrub assist for operative and/or invasive procedures alongside the surgical team
• Deliver proficient perioperative patient care and advocate for patient safety
• Support and troubleshoot during procedures, working closely with registered nurses and surgeons
• Help guide and mentor fellow team members as a clinical resource
