Our preschool in Troy, Virginia, is looking for a dedicated and caring Lead Teacher for 2-Year-Olds to join our team. Serving children ages 2 through 12, we foster a warm, joyful, and engaging atmosphere where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. What You’ll Do Creating a nurturing environment : Maintain a structured yet flexible daily routine that supports age-appropriate learning, play, and exploration. Encouraging growth and independence : Partner with parents to support potty training, healthy eating habits, and good hygiene practices. Delivering enriching experiences : Plan and execute activities like physical play, music, art, center time, and circle time (including calendar and Bible stories). Maintaining a safe and clean space : Ensure the classroom is tidy and hygienic by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing toys, books, and restrooms. Following and adapting curriculum : Use the provided curriculum to create engaging lessons tailored to the developmental needs of 2-year-olds. Fostering communication and relationships : Work closely with teammates and parents, and provide regular updates through monthly newsletters. Encouraging kindness and faith : Teach children to make good decisions, be kind to others, and reflect Christian values in daily interactions. Supporting physical activity and rest : Promote safe indoor/outdoor play, music and movement activities, and a calming naptime routine. What We’re Looking For At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a teaching or caregiving capacity. A love for working with children and a commitment to fostering growth in a faith-centered environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with parents and staff. A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment. Creativity and enthusiasm to make learning fun and engaging for 2-year-olds. Why Join Us?
