Job Title: Electric Pallet Jack Operator

Job Description

This role involves safely unloading containers, palletizing and repacking frozen products, and preparing them for storage in a refrigerated environment. You will work with an electric pallet jack and RF scanner to move, organize, and track products efficiently while maintaining accuracy and productivity throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and move products from trailers into the facility using an electric pallet jack (CROWN).
• Palletize, repack, and assemble frozen products according to established procedures and storage requirements.
• Accurately count, sort, and organize products while maintaining proper inventory control.
• Use an RF scanner to track, scan, and verify product information and locations.
• Load and unload pallets and materials in a refrigerated environment maintained at approximately 40–45 degrees.
• Ensure all pallets are properly wrapped, labeled, and staged for storage or further processing.
• Follow safety guidelines and best practices when operating material handling equipment and working in cold storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including palletizing and packing stations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and unloading goals.
• Work overtime as needed, typically extending the shift from 5:00 AM–2:30 PM up to approximately 6:00 PM.

Essential Skills

• Experience operating an electric pallet jack, preferably CROWN brand.
• Proven ability to unload containers and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Hands-on experience with palletizing, packing, and repacking products.
• Ability to accurately count and handle products to maintain inventory integrity.
• Comfort working in a refrigerated environment at approximately 40–45 degrees for the full shift.
• Capability to stand and remain on your feet for an 8-hour shift or longer with overtime.
• Familiarity with using RF scanners for product tracking and verification.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and stacking products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in a cold storage setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environments.
• Proficient in loading, unloading, palletizing, and assembly within a warehouse or distribution center.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to meet productivity targets in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require.

Work Environment

You will work in a refrigerated cooler environment maintained at approximately 40–45 degrees, handling frozen products throughout your shift. The standard schedule runs from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with frequent overtime extending the day to around 6:00 PM based on workload. The role is physically active, requiring standing for up to 8 hours or more and performing repetitive material handling tasks. You will regularly operate an electric pallet jack (CROWN) and use RF scanners to manage product movement and inventory in a busy warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
