About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Surgical ICU setting required License: Current state nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac monitoring - Experience with central venous pressure monitoring - Skilled in post cardiac surgery care - Proficient in pre/post cardiac catheterization intervention - Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy - Competent in IV therapy including blood product administration and central line management - Skilled in drip titration - Experience in chest tube insertion and removal - Ability to care for ventilated patients Description: This position requires a registered nurse with specific experience in a surgical intensive care unit. The nurse will monitor patients who have undergone cardiac surgery and provide postoperative care. The role includes managing cardiac monitoring and central venous pressure readings. Administration of IV therapies and blood products is essential. The nurse will be expected to participate in emergency team assignments as needed. Flexibility to float to other intensive care units is required. Candidates must be willing to work during designated holiday periods. Experience with high-acuity patients and advanced monitoring techniques is essential. Additional skills in managing transplant recovery cases are preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience with various critical patient conditions and interventions.
