At RCL, there's no project too big, no customer too small!The Account Manager role is an important customer facing role working from our Brokerage division office in Dubuque, IA, and has the following job duties:Daily tasks:Communication with customers and carrier reps.Maintaining high KPI scores that meet or exceed customer expectations.Managing a current book of business of existing customers while also working on adding additional organic customers.Staying up to date with current market rates, trends, industry news and weather.Building shipments, setting pick-up and delivery appointments as needed.Bid on spot shipments, complete RFPs and SOPs for customers.Preferred Requirements:Logistics & customer service experience.Previous experience in a 3PL, freight brokerage, or transportation sales roleFamiliarity with TL, LTL, intermodal, and/or specialized freightLogistics & customer service experience.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeAbility to multi-task, work in a team environment, organized and self-motivated.Strong phone presence with the ability to make a high volume of outbound callsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPersuasive negotiation and closing abilitiesComfort working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environmentProficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office toolsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailWorking Conditions:Ability to be in office full-time with prolonged periods of phone and computer useFast-paced logistics environment with fluctuating prioritiesOccasional extended hours may be required based on customer or freight needsBenefits to Working at River City Logistics:Paid Time Off Plan after 90-day probationary period.Health, Vision and Dental Insurance OfferedIndustry leading training combined with continuous development to make sure you're always able to do your best work.
