Steward/Utility WorkerPosition: Steward/Utility WorkerLocation: Pearl at KalauaoFacility: 18-hole public coursePosition Summary: The Steward/Utility worker will maintain a high level of standard and cleanliness, by washing all dishes, silverware, and supplies. The dishwasher must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision.Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary.Be dependable.Responsibilities:Clean, wash and sanitize all dishes, clean kitchen after close.Performs daily cleaning to include dry storage, walk-in shelving, prep tables, kitchen floors and common areas.Empty rubbish cans as required.Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.Performs other duties as required to include food runner for banquet events.Working Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.The employee is often required to stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend, for minimum of five hours at a time without sitting.The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30lbs occasionally.Noise level is moderate to loudWork extended hours during golf and holiday seasonWork weekends and holidaysAll job descriptions are subject to a periodic review.
