Job Description POSITION: Curriculum Specialist – One Year Appointment RESPONSIBLE: Deputy Superintedent FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

EMPLOYMENT:

TERM: Temporary, part-time position. As needed - Extracurricular assignment/contract SALARY: Stipend EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Curriculum Coordinator and in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and JCBOE Evaluation Policy. JOB SUMMARY: To serve as the curriculum lead among teachers, school administration, and county office staff.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve on the County Curriculum Review Committee Serve on Instructional Review Resource Committee. (Adoption Committee) Develop curriculum evaluation tools Participate in program assessment reviews Develop/Review curriculum maps and pacing guides Work to develop common assessment tools Work with the staff development council to organize staff development needs Work with Academic Coaches to enhance pedagogical practice Review supplemental instructional resources Present at board of education meetings.
