Merchandising Sales Associate

Overview The Field Activity Support Team (FAST) Team Member is responsible for traveling to stores within an assigned district to own and execute “start to finish” variable tasks such as planograms, as well as provide support for other tasks including merchandise and fixture assembly, and the maintenance of all signage. The FAST Team Member will interact with customers and Team Members, while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. Do you love the life out here and want to share it with others? Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, and overtime as dictated by business needs. Communicate proactively and regularly with District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and offer solutions to overcome. Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain visual merchandise standards. Perform store specific measurements. Complete store layout initiatives. Perform accurate cycle counts. Complete Tractor Way top cap process. Hang store signage. Assemble merchandise, fixtures and PDQs. Perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity. Deliver on our promise of Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet the Customer. Uncover Customer’s Needs & Wants. Recommend Product Solutions. Ask to Add Value & Appreciate the Customer. Ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience that differentiates from the competition. Provide peak coverage as needed (e.g., Day After Thanksgiving). FAST Team Members also may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Experience: Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Read, write and count ability is required. Preferred Knowledge, Skills Or Abilities Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict. Self-directed and able to complete assignments with little to no assistance. Working Conditions Favorable working environment, typically inside with moderate noise. Shifts vary by store; generally no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours. Travel between store locations in personal vehicle is required; often with long periods of time. Promote a safe and productive work environment and adhere to safety training and guidelines. Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces; lighting and temperature are adequate. Physical Requirements Ability to travel as required in support of district needs. Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment. Ability to occasionally lift or reach overhead. Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, bend, stoop, and climb ladders. Ability to access all areas of the store and operate store equipment. Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers. Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry. Ability to complete required training. Ability to operate equipment such as dolly, handtruck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register (forklift/baler requirements may not apply if under 18). Physical stamina to move throughout the store and outdoor areas quickly and safely; non-sedentary. Other physical requirements such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, reaching overhead, lifting up to 50 pounds.
