Senior Analog/Mixed Signal Application Engineer – Aerospace, Defense & Government Intel Foundry Services is a systems foundry dedicated to transforming the global semiconductor industry with cutting‑edge silicon process and packaging technology for the AI era. Position Overview This role provides critical technical support to customers on precision PDKs, design methodologies, and implementation flows. The incumbent drives success in customer tape‑outs, improves design kit quality, and establishes best‑practice guidelines for analog and mixed‑signal design across advanced CMOS processes. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive tool/flow/methodology support for complex analog/mixed‑signal design challenges, ensuring successful tape‑outs and maximum customer satisfaction. Collaborate with internal Intel teams, external stakeholders, and EDA vendors on AMS design and layout issue resolution. Support customers through advanced process technology adoption and complex analog design challenges. Develop application notes, documentation, and technical training presentations for customers and internal teams. Drive quality improvements in design kits and documentation to remove barriers to successful customer design tape‑outs. Develop best‑practice guidelines for analog mixed‑signal design implementation across advanced CMOS processes. Provide technical direction on custom/analog mixed‑signal design and layout methodologies, supporting schematic entry, simulation, extraction, post‑layout simulation, and reliability validation. Streamline customer design workflows and enhance productivity through methodology improvements. Minimum Qualifications US citizenship required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a STEM‑related field. 5+ years of experience with advanced CMOS processes (16nm and below). 4+ years of experience in one or more scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell). Hands‑on experience in design implementation and methodology for custom/analog mixed‑signal design and layout. Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Active US Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher). Post‑graduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM. Experience providing technical direction to engineering teams and driving streamlined design methodologies. Hands‑on experience with analog tools and flows: schematic entry, analog/RF simulation, extraction, post‑layout simulation, reliability validation. Experience with custom layout of analog blocks and layout migration between advanced FinFET nodes. Design experience in RF/analog/mixed‑signal blocks such as low‑noise amplifiers, filters, mixers, VCOs, PLLs, clock distribution, ADC/DAC, etc. Customer‑facing experience with SOTA process technologies (7nm and below) and PDK evaluation. Knowledge of thermal analysis at block/die level using Ansys Icepak or Cadence Celsius.
