You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Cloud FinOps Analyst is responsible for optimizing cloud infrastructure costs, monitoring usage patterns, and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency. This position utilizes a deep understanding of cloud technologies, financial analysis, and cost management. Additionally, this position collaborates with cross-functional teams to align cloud spending with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with finance and technology teams to establish cloud budgets and forecastsDevelops and maintains financial models and forecasts to track cloud spending and cost-saving initiativesAnalyzes billing data and cloud usage metrics to identify trends and areas for optimizationPlays a key role in the development and implementation of strategies to optimize cloud costsCreates reports and dashboards to track and communicate cloud cost optimization efforts to stakeholdersProvides guidance to engineering teams on implementation of optimization recommendationsPresents financial analysis to influence management decisionsStays current on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to cloud cost management and FinOps practicesPrepares and maintains detailed and comprehensive documentation of processes and procedures to support and drive process improvementsAssists management with complex projects and/or initiativesOffers guidance and advice to junior analystsEnsures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field and five (5) years of financial analysis, management reporting, or related experienceOr High School Diploma or GED and nine (9) years of financial analysis, management reporting, or related experienceCertified Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner or ability to obtain within three (3) months in rolePreferencesExperience with cloud cost management tools and services Experience in cloud optimization or in related roles within a cloud centric environmentSkills and CompetenciesAbility to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidanceAdvanced knowledge of financial statementsProficiency in data analysis and financial modelingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong collaboration skills both within a team and across teamsStrong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong research skillsStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationUnderstanding of cloud technologies, financial analysis, and cost managementThis position is currently offsite, preferably close to a Regions office within our retail branch footprint (click here to see our locations).
