This Columbus, Ohio nursing job is ideal for a telemetry-savvy nurse with strong critical thinking skills who enjoys providing high-quality care to adult patients in a collaborative inpatient setting.Job Details\n \n Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Cardiac Stepdown\n Location: Columbus, OH\n Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n Shift: 12-hour nights\n Schedule: 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, with weekdays and some weekends as needed\n Hours Per Week: 36\n Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040\n Start Date: 10/5/2026\n Unit Highlights: 24-bed cardiovascular inpatient unit with progressive care capabilities\n Orientation: 24 hours\n Charting System: Epic\n Job Requirements\n \n Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) experience\n Current RN license in hand at time of submission\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Epic EMR experience required\n Experience with telemetry, cardiac stepdown, and intermediate care preferred\n Ability to perform IV starts and manage IV insulin drips preferred\n Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation and management\n Comfortable floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity\n Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide high-quality nursing care to adult progressive care and cardiac stepdown patients\n Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, EKG changes, and pulmonary embolism\n Interpret telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient status\n Administer medications and treatments while maintaining safe, evidence-based patient care\n Perform IV starts, manage peripheral lines, and support patients receiving IV insulin therapy\n Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response resources\n Maintain strong communication, documentation, and teamwork in a busy inpatient hospital environment\n Float within comparable or lower-acuity units as needed\n \n Apply now to join a rewarding travel nursing opportunity in Columbus, Ohio, and make an immediate impact as a PCU RN.
