Registered Nurse - ICU

$1958.40/week –

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsible for managing complex cardiac and hemodynamic cases, utilizing advanced skills and equipment to promote patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and titrate vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, and paralytics with precision.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, hemodynamics, and PA catheter data to inform clinical decisions.
• Manage patients with mechanical circulatory support devices such as IABP, Impella, and perform CRRT procedures.
• Perform advanced cardiac procedures including cardioversion, transvenous pacing, TEE, chest tube insertions, and central line placements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to unit policies and best practices.
• Document all patient interventions accurately within the Cerner system and update care plans accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in titration of vasoactive medications and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Possess knowledge of mechanical circulatory support devices and critical cardiac procedures.
• Preferably hold CCRN certification; IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience are highly desirable.
• Capable of managing complex patient situations with strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends and adapt to floating policies.
