Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Charleston, WV

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult and pediatric surgical and vascular patients requiring close cardiac monitoring
• Perform invasive line monitoring including arterial pressures and central venous pressures
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and administer critical medications
• Care for post-procedural vascular patients including post-TAVR, post-CEA, and post-femoral popliteal bypass populations
• Manage transvenous pacemakers, chest tubes, and respiratory ventilation as needed
• Float within scope to other units if necessary

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry/telemetry monitoring experience required
• Active WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption documentation accepted
• Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility (75–100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification (preferred, not required)
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior experience in a stepdown, PCU, or intermediate care unit setting
