Forklift Driver: 9am - 6pm Contract To Hire

Job Description

This role involves operating sit-down forklifts to safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, move materials, and replenish product within a distribution center. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work quickly without sacrificing safety, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, including Hyundai and Toyota equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.

• Load and unload trucks with various materials and products according to established procedures.

• Move, stage, and replenish product throughout the distribution center as directed.

• Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure accurate placement and inventory integrity.

• Work closely with team members to coordinate unloading, loading, and replenishment activities.

• Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working quickly to meet productivity goals.

• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse operating procedures at all times.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or distribution center environment.

• Ability to safely operate Hyundai and Toyota sit-down forklifts or similar equipment.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate loading, unloading, and replenishment of product.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Experience with material handling, including loading, unloading, and moving product.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team to complete shared tasks and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a distribution center or similar warehouse setting.

• Familiarity with replenishment processes and inventory movement within a DC.

• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent 1st shift operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a smaller distribution center with a team of approximately 10 people, creating a tight-knit and collaborative atmosphere. The position follows a 1st shift schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m . You will primarily operate sit-down forklifts, including Hyundai and Toyota models, and perform material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, and replenishing product. The environment is active and fast-paced, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and maintaining an organized warehouse space.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
