Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Manager of software engineering to lead Mobile App Foundation teams responsible for the foundational components, libraries, and frameworks that power Disney+ and Hulu mobile applications. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, collaborative, and technical, with strong leadership and coordination skills across teams, and a commitment to excellence that directly impacts millions of global consumers. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role Manage mobile development teams, provide guidance, direction, and career development to team members, and own accountable outcomes across teams. Lead Disney+ and Hulu mobile application development and releases, overseeing code development in Kotlin, Swift, and other application technologies. Oversee team planning and project management, ensuring projects align with team goals and organizational timelines. Collaborate across disciplines with UX designers, product managers, and engineering leadership to build best‑of‑class, performant streaming experiences and platforms. Develop departmental vision and strategy, fostering trust, setting goals, offering guidance, and providing constructive feedback across peers and stakeholders. Required Education, Experience, & Skills 10+ years of mobile application development with expert knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, and Apple/Android frameworks and ecosystems. 4+ years of technical and engineering leadership experience. Experience leading multiple teams, delegating responsibility, and balancing competing priorities. Experience partnering with stakeholders in Product and Design to curate a roadmap that meets business needs while ensuring team health. Effective collaboration and communication skills; able to discuss technical topics clearly and engage in productive discussions. High emotional intelligence; able to maintain composure under high‑pressure situations and meet tight deadlines. Strong project management skills, seeing projects through from inception to completion. Required Education Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent job experience. The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $206,400 – $276,700 and in New York City is $197,400 – $264,700. Base pay will be adjusted for internal equity and other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided, along with a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
