Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and be prepared to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room.
- Assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and document patients' conditions accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.
Schedule Details
- 12-hour shifts
- 3p-3a schedule
- Working 36 hours per week
Weekend and Holiday Requirements
- Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday nights)
- Holidays as required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Previous Emergency Room experience is a plus.
Licensure and Certifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with Epic Healthcare software is preferred
Contract Details
- Contract length of 8-12 weeks, with potential for extension
- Orientation involving 2-3 shifts (24-36 hours) along with 12-16 hours of non-billable orientation
