Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment / Cranes

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial general contractor providing construction, fabrication, and crane services. We operate one of the largest fleets of road ready hydraulic cranes in North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina. We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment/Crane Diesel Mechanic in the Wilmington, NC area. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Working conditions may be indoor or outdoor. Schedule may include overtime, overnight, and weekend work. Pre-employment investigations and evaluations may include drug, physical functionality, criminal background, MVR and/or skills evaluations. Pay commensurate with experience/knowledge. - Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven, stable/unstable, and varying compositions.
- Work in awkward spaces and/or positions including confined spaces and climbing.
- The ability to routinely lift up to 80+ lbs. and push up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
- 2+ years' experience in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
- Clean Driving Record
- Hydraulic and Electrical systems background is a plus.
- Mechanical experience with cranes is a plus.
- Own all tools needed to work with
- Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) is a plus
