Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – North Iowa

Start Date: November 2026 (flexible start dates available)

Location: North Iowa

Schedule: Flexible shift coverage with 9- to 12-hour shifts available. Multiple day, evening, and night shifts available on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately 15 open shifts per month. No on-call requirements.

• 250-bed teaching hospital with Level 3 Trauma designation serving approximately 33,000 annual ED visits
• Average daily ED volume of 77 patients with peak volume between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM
• Collaborative team environment with 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers supporting shifts
• EPIC electronic medical records system
• Excellent patient retention with less than 3% transfer rate
• Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers expected
• No inpatient or outreach responsibilities

Requirements:

• Board Certified by ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine)
• Active Iowa state medical license or IMLC eligibility
• ATLS certification required for trauma privileges
• Clean professional background with straightforward work history
• Ability to commit to covering multiple shifts per month
