This position is offered in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance while still maintaining a collaborative environment. Our work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required depending on patient schedules. As a member of our dedicated team, you will engage with colleagues virtually and participate in case conferences and team meetings to ensure cohesive patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into patients' unique experiences and formulate tailored treatment strategies.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, adapting techniques to respect personal and cultural backgrounds, and aligning with patient preferences.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at supporting patients dealing with a variety of mental health challenges and enhancing their overall resilience.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and support of clients during critical situations.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment pathways, and available community resources, fostering empowerment and understanding.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record systems.

• Actively engage in cultural competency training and continue to develop skills that enhance your capacity to serve diverse populations effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrant families. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and cultural competency practices in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy using culturally responsive methods.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to calmly navigate high-stress scenarios.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, adept at building rapport with a diverse range of individuals.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and digital communication tools.

• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and healthy boundaries in therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is required, candidates with experience working specifically with multicultural populations and knowledge of culturally relevant therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. Continuously engaging in professional development and training in cultural competencies will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
