Summary

We are representing a well-established and growing mechanical contractor that specializes in plumbing scopes for multifamily and commercial projects across the region. With a steady pipeline of ground-up and rehab projects, the team is looking to add a sharp, detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator to support ongoing bidding efforts and help drive strategic growth.

Position
As a Plumbing Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction process—developing accurate, competitive estimates and collaborating closely with the GM, project managers, and field teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and wants to be a key part of a high-performing estimating team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing scopes across multifamily and commercial construction projects

• Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs from plans and specifications

• Review project drawings, specs, and addenda to determine scope of work and identify risks

• Solicit and analyze quotes from vendors and subcontractors

• Collaborate with the GM and project team to strategize bid approach and value engineering opportunities

• Assist in preparing proposals, bid forms, and documentation for submission

• Maintain and update estimating databases, templates, and historical pricing

• Support preconstruction meetings and project handoffs to operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating plumbing scopes in the construction industry (multifamily/commercial preferred)

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, labor productivity, and local building codes

• Proficient in takeoff software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines

• Clear communicator and team player who can collaborate across departments
