Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)

We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) for one of our clients in San Angelo, TX .

Job Description:

Duties of Agency nurse

• Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.
• Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations after demonstration for competency
• Documents and reports pertinent observations.
• Communicates orally and in writing to other team members' pertinent information.
• Documents according to facility policy.
• Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals.
• Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility.
• Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures.
• Collects specimens for laboratory examination and conducts appropriate screening tests (after competency is documented) when requested by lab personnel.
• Provides education to individuals with specific health goals.
• LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.
  • Ensures that supplies are available.
  • Manages individual's medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart.
• Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements for all candidates:

• Licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred.
• Experience with IDD and psych preferred.

• Hiring decisions on day of interview; Same or next day interview and immediate hiring
• Approximate start date 9/16/2026 or 10/1/2026
• Minimum 6 month contract.
• Exceptions made for returning nurses.
• All compliance must be met before candidate can start.

Other:

• No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Year's.
• Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification
• Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months
• COVID-19 testing with negative result required (we provide)
• Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (you provide)
• Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (we provide).

Work hours:

• 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM x 5 days a week with every 3rd weekend off.
• 40 hours/week
• No OT
• Rotating Schedule
• Current Open Shifts: (Subject to change)
