Responsibilities Troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment including motors, pumps, valves, agitators, circuit boards, PLCs, VFDs, fans, blowers, etc., and a general understanding of air compressors, chillers, boilers, dust collectors, HVAC, and other utility equipment. Repair, replace, and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, switches, and other related components. Train and support other maintenance technicians and cross‑functional departments to foster continuous learning. Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, technical specs, and electrical drawings. Complete work orders in SAP, filling out all associated details, providing commentary, time, parts used, and documentation with photos. Prepare root‑cause analysis documentation and breakdown analysis, troubleshoot recurring issues, provide solutions to Engineering, and create preventive maintenance items based on findings. Perform all work safely and cleanly, correctly implementing Lock‑out Tag‑out procedures, following safety procedures for welding, cutting, polishing, reporting food safety risks, and abiding by GMP standards. Operate heavy equipment including boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and lulls. Qualifications AA degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of an approved apprenticeship in industrial electrical maintenance or 5‑7 years of direct applicable experience. Three to five years of plant maintenance experience. Ability to develop control logic including prints and installation of control wiring and troubleshoot PLC/Solid State control instruments. Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters. Working knowledge and field experience with process/programmable controllers and AC/DC drives. Industrial control wiring experience. Ability to read and interpret instrument drawings and control schematics. Capability to lift 70 lbs. Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
