About This Role & Why It Matters We’re hiring a Large Group Client Associate to join our Client Success team. This role is designed for a polished, detail-oriented benefits professional who is ready to step beyond pure analyst work and begin owning client relationships, while still partnering closely with Senior Client Managers and Account Executives on complex, evolving accounts. This is an ideal next-step role for a Senior Benefits Analyst or junior Account Manager who is hungry for growth and wants the opportunity to both own a book of business and learn alongside seasoned consultants. You’ll act as a secondary Client Manager on some of our largest and most sophisticated employer groups (800–3,000 lives), while also independently managing a portfolio of smaller fully insured large groups (100–200 lives). At Nava, this role sits at the intersection of technical excellence and relationship management. You’ll sharpen your consulting voice, expand your strategic exposure, and deepen your benefits expertise while directly contributing to our mission to #fixhealthcare. You’ll have access to modern, AI-powered tools that streamline the tactical work and give you more space to focus on what matters most: delivering meaningful outcomes for employers and employees. This is a fully remote role, with a strong preference for California-based candidates or those with extensive large group experience who are willing to travel to California for in-person client meetings. What You’ll Do Support Complex Large Accounts as a Secondary CM: Partner with Account Executives on large, multi-layered employer groups (750–3,000 lives). Contribute to strategy, reporting, renewal preparation, vendor coordination, and client deliverables while learning advanced consulting approaches in real time. Own a Book of Business Independently: Serve as the primary day‑day contact for a portfolio of smaller large-group clients (100–200 lives). Manage plan‑year servicing, respond to client inquiries, coordinate with carriers and vendors, and build strong, trust‑based relationships. Execute Core Benefits Analyst Responsibilities: Handle the tactical and analytical foundation of client servicing, including: Spreading and analyzing financials for renewals Carrier marketing and quoting support Reporting and data analysis Maintaining and configuring ben‑admin systems Eligibility and billing support Vendor coordination and day‑to‑day servicing tasks Lead Renewal & Open Enrollment Preparation: Build renewal and open enrollment presentations, develop employee education materials, support budget modeling, and ensure timelines are met across all stakeholders. Create and Present Client Deliverables: Develop decks, reports, and financial summaries and confidently present to HR teams and client leadership for straightforward groups, while supporting senior teammates on more complex presentations. Strengthen Client Experience: Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal operations, member support, and external vendor partners to ensure seamless execution and an elevated client experience throughout the year. What You’ll Bring We recognize experience can come in many forms, but recent, hands‑on brokerage experience is a non‑negotiable requirement for this role. Minimum 5+ years of recent employee benefits experience on the brokerage or consulting side supporting multiple employer clients simultaneously Active Health Insurance License required Demonstrated, hands‑on experience supporting employer groups through renewals, carrier marketing, and open enrollment cycles within a brokerage environment Proven proficiency executing Benefits Analyst / Account Management responsibilities including financial spreading, quoting, reporting, and carrier negotiations Direct experience working inside or alongside benefits administration systems in a client‑servicing capacity Strong Excel and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills with the ability to independently build financial analyses and client‑ready presentations Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead client calls and present renewal materials for straightforward groups Experience managing multiple client timelines, deliverables, and carrier/vendor relationships concurrently Professional polish, consultative mindset, and clear desire to grow into broader client ownership and strategic advisory work What You’ll Get A clear and supported path from analyst‑level execution to full client management ownership Exposure to both straightforward and highly complex employer groups, accelerating your learning curve The opportunity to work with industry‑leading, AI‑powered benefits technology that reduces manual work and increases strategic impact A collaborative, mission‑driven team that values ambition, curiosity, and continuous development The chance to play a meaningful role in transforming how benefits are delivered and experienced, while building a long‑term career in employee benefits consulting This is more than a stepping‑stone role.
