Job Description
Outpatient Family Practice Registered Nurse (RN)

The Outpatient Family Practice Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients, ensuring optimal outcomes through independent decision-making within established nursing practices, medical direction, and organizational policies. This role involves the application of the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while educating and guiding clinical support staff in the execution of treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work alongside physicians, fellow nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress, while promptly reporting any changes to the appropriate team members.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and protocols.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness.
Support and Advocacy: Provide emotional support and advocate for patients' rights to ensure compassionate and respectful care.
Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical working environment.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about medical advancements, best practices, and industry standards through ongoing professional development.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
Current BLS certification (AHA).
Experience is preferred; new graduates are not accepted at this time due to orientation limitations.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
