Job Description

The Warehouse Associate processes customer orders and handles boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials in a fast-paced, physical environment. This role involves frequent lifting, carrying, and arranging of boxes while performing tasks such as standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting throughout the shift. The Warehouse Associate supports accurate inventory control and ensures that items are packed and moved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process orders accurately by locating, handling, and preparing boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials for storage or shipment.
• Lift, carry, and move boxes weighing between 10 and 100 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
• Arrange and organize boxes in designated warehouse locations while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting as needed.
• Perform packing activities, including placing items into boxes, sealing them securely, and preparing them for storage or transport.
• Operate a pallet jack to move pallets and boxes safely within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate warehouse inventory by following established inventory control procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards to support a safe working environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to protect both products and coworkers.
• Stand on feet for the majority of the shift while performing continuous warehouse and packing tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Experience with warehouse inventory and inventory control processes.
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day while performing physical tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing between 10 and 100 pounds consistently.
• Capability to perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crawling, and twisting as part of daily duties.
• Experience using a pallet jack to move materials in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform packing tasks, including boxing, sealing, and preparing items for storage or shipment.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing and inventory handling.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment focused on packing and handling boxes. You will spend most of the day standing and moving throughout the facility, lifting and arranging boxes and using a pallet jack to transport materials. The shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing consistent daytime hours. The facility emphasizes safe material handling and organized workflows to support efficient operations. Dress is typical for warehouse work, prioritizing safety and comfort, such as closed-toe shoes and attire suitable for physical tasks in a warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
