Associate Veterinarian

Country Hill Animal Clinic is seeking a fourth Veterinarian to join our newly remodeled small animal practice. We are an independently owned, family-oriented practice that strongly believes in balancing work and family time. Our veterinarians work 30 hours a week and enjoy full time salaries plus commission. We rotate Saturdays, we are never on call, and we do not take after hour emergencies.

Country Hill Animal Clinic is a 2000+ sq ft free standing building that has three exam rooms and a two-table surgery suite. We have digital radiography, ultrasound, and full anesthesia monitoring equipment including ECG. You will be supported by a well-trained support staff who all strive to make your job easier.

Your role as an associate veterinarian will include performing surgeries, dentistry, diagnostics, medicine, and pet owner education. *Responsibilities*

* Examine animals and check their health status
* Diagnose illness and determine the best treatment
* Perform dental procedures, ophthalmic, soft tissue, and minor orthopedic surgeries
* Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases
* Prescribe medication
* Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, and general care
* Keep updated and clear client records

*Skills*

* An experienced veterinarian is preferred, but new graduates are welcome. We will train and mentor the right candidate
* Confidence and common sense is a must
* Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
