Kennel Assistant

We’re looking for a Seasonal / Temporary Kennel Assistant to support our Primary Care team. If you enjoy caring for animals, take pride in keeping things clean and organised, and love being part of a team, we’d like to hear from you.

You’ll help keep our patients comfortable and our hospital clean, stocked and ready to deliver excellent care. In return, you’ll join a supportive, close-knit team where your contribution is valued.

What you can expect at Insight:

• A consistent weekday schedule , working Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Support the clinical team with day-to-day patient care, following instructions and hospital protocols.
• Clean and sanitise kennels, treatment spaces and common areas.
• Keep supplies stocked and work areas organised.
• Help maintain a welcoming, hygienic hospital environment.
• Communicate any concerns about patient comfort or wellbeing promptly to the clinical team.

What you’ll bring:

• A caring approach to animals and a commitment to their wellbeing.
• Kennel assistant or other pet care experience is helpful.
• A reliable, practical approach and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Good attention to detail, particularly around cleanliness and hygiene.
• The ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a busy hospital.

No formal certification is required.

Insight Veterinary Wellness Center provides primary and emergency care for small animals in El Dorado Hills. Our team includes seven veterinarians, five Registered Veterinary Technicians and 29 support colleagues.

With visiting specialists, well-equipped clinical facilities and a community blood bank, Insight offers a varied environment where excellent patient care and teamwork come first.
