Part-Time Clinician: CBT & Family Therapy (Pre-licensed)

Family Health & Support Network (FHSN), an Equal Opportunity Employer, is a private non‑profit 501(c) (3) corporation. Pre‑licensed Clinician FHSN is seeking a qualified part‑time pre‑licensed Clinician to implement our cultural‑specific evidence‑based practice model and ensure fidelity. Potential candidates must have a master’s degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school, in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology. Must be licensed‑eligible under the supervision of a licensed Clinician. This position requires an individual who possesses a heightened consciousness of how African Americans experience their uniqueness and deal with their differences, adversities and fears within a larger social context. Experience with implementing an evidence‑based practice model and experience with CBT are essential. The role is to provide clinical support to the afterschool and parent education components of the PEI program, with emphasis on the provision of individual, group and family therapy. Compassionate interviewing, assessments, maintaining confidential charts; Observing program delivery; giving feedback to program staff; Assisting with data collection and outcome monitoring. Assist other concerned individuals in understanding the nature of psychological illnesses and their psychosocial effects. Establish and maintain effective contact with local area mental health resources, including community members, parents, schools, and other agencies/organizations. Must pass a criminal background check, child abuse index check and an FBI background check. Experience in MS Office is essential. A balance of assertiveness and diplomacy is critical, as are effective listening skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of professionals. Self‑direction, enthusiasm and a highly developed service orientation are desirable personal qualities. Genuine passion for advocating for the needs of youth participants and their families is required. Youth Development Worker FHSN is in search of a qualified Youth Development Worker. The Youth Development Worker shall co‑facilitate the Africentric Youth & Family Rites of Passage program in accordance with the approved program design. The YDW shall plan and coordinate all ROP activities including speakers, transportation, workshops, presentations, community expert appearances, food preparation and service, elder participation, field trips and outings, retreats and monthly parent empowerment meetings. The YDW must possess and demonstrate a heightened consciousness of how African‑American youth experience their uniqueness and deal with their differences, adversities and fears. A genuine connection and an ability to draw from personal life experiences with a unique understanding of the interworking of the African‑American culture and the community where the program will be facilitated are required. Interpersonal skills and the ability to lead negotiations in a competitive and sometimes adversarial environment are absolutely critical. The YDW must represent the character the program wishes to instill in our youth. A Bachelor’s Degree or higher with some background in child development. Three years of experience in community leadership/involvement and outreach, with an emphasis on serving children, youth and families within an African‑American community using an afro‑centric approach to programming. Self‑starter, organized, computer literate, and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Possess strong connectivity in the community with an ability to access resources and the cooperation of community leaders, experts, and supporters. Must possess and demonstrate a heightened consciousness of how African‑Americans experience their uniqueness and deal with their differences, adversities and fears within the larger social context. Must pass a criminal background check, child abuse index check and an FBI background check. Experience in MS Office products is essential and knowledge and experience in social media is desired. A balance of assertiveness and diplomacy is critical, as are effective listening skills and the ability to collaborate with a team of professionals. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing is essential and the ability to work with groups of diverse personalities is important. The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the community and contractors is essential. Desirable personal qualities include a “Get the job done” attitude, self‑direction, enthusiasm, and a highly developed service orientation. Bilingual Resource Family Recruiter – Part‑time We are looking for an individual that is ready to make a direct impact and are excited to be an instrument in supporting the needs of children, youth, and families. Must have significant recruiting experience with a proven track record of delivery. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform all work in a manner consistent with the Family Health & Support Network Inc’s Program’s Mission, Values, and Philosophies. Conduct public relations activities in the communities where FHSN serves on behalf of our foster care programs through the media, publications, and other initiatives. Work directly with the CEO and Facility Administrator to design and develop a comprehensive recruitment plan. Produce flyers, advertising, and informational brochures for use in public relations activities in the counties where FHSN is present. Work directly with community leaders in fostering the mission of the Family Health & Support Network Inc’s Foster Care Programs. Work directly with potential foster parents in meeting state pre‑service training requirements. Work directly with potential foster parents in assisting them with completing all paperwork necessary to become a resource parent. Meet for supervision with the Facility Administrator a minimum of twice monthly. Serve as a resource coordinator in helping foster parents seek all training opportunities available through FHSN and in the community. Develop and implement an ongoing foster home recruitment plan and submit monthly reports of community actions and responses to the CEO and Facility Administrator. Maintain professional boundaries, conduct and confidentiality and other governmental laws and regulations, agency policy, and ethics. Manage all social media advertisements relative to resource family recruitment, i.e., Facebook, Instagram, etc. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in the behavioral/social sciences. 2 years of experience in the area of youth services, preferably with direct experience in the area of child welfare, or foster care recruitment and training. Must have the ability to speak publicly regarding the mission of the Family Health & Support Network Inc.’s programs and most specifically the Foster Care programs. Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Index clearance. Current driver’s license, car registration, auto insurance, and good driving record. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs. Other Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English and Spanish. Capacity to be flexible and responsive to foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers. Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function. Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others. Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from all cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds. Must be comfortable with public speaking. Must be a go‑getter. Pay range: 20.00 – 25.00 hourly depending on experience.
