Global Payroll Specialist - Global Reporting and Banking

Job Overview The Global Payroll Specialist – Global Reporting and Banking is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and effective presentation of payroll processing information for Mercedes-Benz Assignment Services Americas (MBASA). This role also has sole responsibility for banking activities related to EURO payout processes. Responsibilities 75% – Monthly operations (US & Canada): Generate accurate and timely payroll reporting for domestic and global payroll, delivering end‑to‑end processes to stakeholders such as Accounting, Tax, Benefits, Treasury, Global Payroll Management team, and Global Payroll Provider. Run reporting corrections, including Supplemental GL and payroll output file corrections for the external global payroll provider. Respond to variance reports and white‑spot‑tracker queries from EY/Deloitte as part of global payroll control activities. Approve Canada monthly payrolls, including processing daily reports and wire approvals for tax payments, and ensure provincial obligations are properly approved. Handle banking euro‑currency split for Canada inbounds and US, owning the end‑to‑end process from assignee questions to successful transfer of information into Dayforce and issuance of pay instructions. Deliver DB statement report to accounting and generate EUR payout split positions report for EY/Deloitte by month‑end. 25% – Annual processes and on‑demand activities: Execute hypo‑tax initial calculations and annual updates. Monitor company notifications impacting payroll (garnishments, tax authorities, refund checks, etc.). Perform internal controls to ensure data accuracy. Coordinate evidence for the annual Internal Controls System (ICS) self‑assessment. Support the Payroll Manager with specific tasks related to annual processing activities (Phantom Shares Program, annual bonus, merit increase, etc.). Qualifications Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or Tax. Working experience with U.S. payroll tax regulations. Working experience with international payroll. Experience executing internal controls (preferred). Education Bachelor’s Degree (preferable Master’s Degree) with emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Tax. Additional Skills Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. High numerical aptitude. Data analytics and interpretation of information. Strong sense of urgency and result orientation. Highly organized and detail‑oriented with a focus on process discipline.
