Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned operations leader who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. In this role, you will be responsible for the top-down functions of the business—balancing high-level strategic planning with day-to-day tactical execution.

You will lead the operational charge, driving efficiency from the office to the field, while directly overseeing commercial roofing projects from contract signing to final closeout. The ideal candidate understands the intricacies of commercial construction, possesses sharp business acumen, and knows how to lead people effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership ("Steering the Ship"): Partner directly with ownership to set company goals, streamline operational workflows, optimize profit margins, and scale business processes for sustainable growth.
• Project Management & Execution: Oversee commercial roofing projects through their entire lifecycle. Ensure jobs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Team Leadership & Development: Supervise office staff, project managers, and field crews. Foster a strong, accountable, and safety-first company culture.
• Resource & Fleet Management: Oversee allocation of materials, equipment, sub-contractors, and company fleet to maximize daily productivity on job sites.
• Client & Vendor Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for major clients, general contractors, suppliers, and municipal officials when escalated support is needed.
• Financial & Administrative Oversight: Assist with budgeting, job-cost tracking, resource forecasting, and contract review.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of operational leadership or executive management experience. Direct experience in the commercial roofing or construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Hands-On Mindset: A proven track record of managing construction/roofing projects from conception to completion. You must be comfortable moving seamlessly between the boardroom and the job site.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, job-costing, estimating, and operational logistics.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and unite diverse teams—from administrative personnel to field labor.
