Project & Bid Manager - Manufacturing & Operations

Location: Haslet, TX | Onsite
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Compensation: $115,000-$125,000 base + 15% annual bonus based on company performance

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Project & Bid Manager for a contract manufacturing and packaging client in the Haslet, TX area. This role is responsible for developing operational solutions for new customer opportunities, leading RFQ and quotation activities , and managing projects through successful startup and implementation.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in contract manufacturing, contract packaging, project management, process engineering, production operations, costing, and customer solution development who are seeking a high-impact role with leadership responsibility and exposure across operations, customers, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ and quotation activities for new manufacturing and packaging opportunities, including assumptions for labor, process timing, operational and warehouse space, resources, supplier pricing, startup/ramp-up, total cost, and P&L readiness.

• Translate customer requirements into practical operational solutions, including process flows, production layouts, technical requirements, equipment needs, and investment estimates .

• Own end-to-end project management for new business initiatives involving new equipment, technologies, processes, and/or sites.

• Develop project budgets, plans, timelines, risk assessments, and accountability for execution.

• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, New Product Development, R&D, Planning, and Business Development to develop customer solutions and proposals.

• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, plant tours, and new project discussions.

• Coordinate new customer and project startups across internal departments and ensure operational execution aligns with the solution developed during the quotation process.

• Identify potential startup issues, develop solutions, communicate deviations, and manage internal and external stakeholders.

• Provide technical support for new machines, equipment, and tooling.

• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

• Lead and develop project engineering resources and provide ongoing project/results reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in contract manufacturing and/or contract packaging.

• 5+ years of experience in CPG/FMCG, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, or a related manufacturing/packaging environment.

• Strong project management experience with the ability to move projects from concept and planning through operational execution.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, packaging, production, and/or supply chain operations .

• Experience developing customer solutions and translating business requirements into operational processes.

• Understanding of operational costing and the financial components involved in developing new business opportunities.

• Experience working with shared, dedicated, in-plant, and/or in-DC manufacturing or packaging models.

• Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to navigate complex organizations.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

• Supply chain management or operations experience preferred.

• PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, automation, or continuous improvement experience is a plus.

• Degree is not required; relevant hands-on manufacturing and operational experience will be considered.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Full-Time
