RN - PACU

PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in the PACU setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring safety and comfort during recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and based on individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and recovery processes.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PACU setting.
• Current and valid nursing license.
• Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS.
• Ability to float between units as needed, based on skill set.
• Must have reliable transportation for travel between multiple locations.

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10-hour schedules (07:00 - 17:30).
• Weekends may be required on an on-call basis.
• On-call requirement is approximately 100 hours.

• Expected patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:2.
• No block schedules are required.
• Parking is available at no cost.
• Scrub color is flexible; provided for specific units.
• Charting system used: Epic.
