Assists students in boarding and deboarding the school bus and in all aspects of personal care, including eating, transporting and toileting. Must have the physical ability to lift, pull, and carry 50 lbs. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance. Perform other duties as requested and required. EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: High school diploma. Must hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia Paraprofessional License through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. YOU MUST OBTAIN YOUR PARA CERTIFICATE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE RECOMMENDATION Visit GaPSC - Paraprofessionals for certification requirements. SKILLS: Physical demands – must be able to stand and walk a minimum of six hours; lift, carry and pull up to 150 pounds. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a special education paraprofessional preferred, not required.
