CT Tech

The CT Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography procedures using radiation and imaging equipment. They produce high-quality images, evaluate their technical quality, and assist practitioners with fluoroscopy and advanced practices, including venipuncture and contrast media administration. Key duties include maintaining equipment quality control, practicing aseptic techniques, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and processing images accurately. They provide radiation safety, communicate effectively with patients, and support patient safety during procedures. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Imaging Technology program , 0-1 year of experience in CT , and current ARRT and CT Registry certifications or TMB license . Candidates must hold active BLS certification . Skills required encompass technical proficiency, attention to safety protocols, patient care, and effective communication. Additional responsibilities involve patient scheduling, transport, participating in quality assurance, and contributing to performance improvement activities.
