Quality Control Analyst (QCA)

Akkodis is looking for Quality Control Analyst (QCA) in San Antonio TX 78249. Duration: 12-Month Contract Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM CT (8:00 AM–5:00 PM may be available) Experience: 2+ years, preferably in banking/financial services Position Summary We are seeking a Quality Control Analyst (QCA) / Manual QA Tester to support software development projects within an enterprise financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on manual testing experience across web and desktop applications , strong test case creation skills, and prior experience working in a banking or financial institution . Must-Have Skills 2+ years of manual software testing experience Minimum 1 year of banking/financial services QA/testing Hands‑on HP ALM / Quality Center experience Manual testing of web and desktop applications Experience writing and executing test cases/test scripts Understanding of Waterfall SDLC Experience with defect identification, reporting, validation, and retesting Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication Nice to Have Manual testing experience with mobile applications Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, or MS Project Experience with other test management tools equivalent to HP ALM Experience collaborating with development and automation teams Financial institution or credit union experience Key Responsibilities Review business, technical, functional, and design requirements. Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts. Execute manual testing according to established test plans. Prepare and manage test data. Identify, document, validate, and retest defects. Verify application fixes and enhancements. Participate in requirements and project meetings. Communicate testing status, progress, and issues to QA leadership. Collaborate with developers and automation engineers when needed. Assist with post‑implementation and support testing. Help train testers on QA systems, applications, and tools.
