Job Description:

OB nurse needed for 15-17 births per month. The RN will handle Labor & Delivery, as well as Mother Baby, Newborn Nursery, and Couplet Care. They will also care for Gynecology surgery patients and may float to Med/Surg, assisting with vitals and medication administration if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for laboring patients, triages, and mother-baby care.
• Support LPNs with Electronic Fetal Monitoring evaluations and documentation.
• Validate initial assessments as the baby nurse.
• Coordinate with Transfer Coordinator for additional support in emergencies.
• Creative collaboration within a small unit with available support and resources.

Requirements:

• BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required.
• Ability to perform comprehensive nursing tasks in Labor and Delivery settings.
• Experience in handling multiple aspects of the OB environment including Gynecology surgeries.
• Willingness to assist in Med/Surg as needed.
