Position Overview

This position requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TSA clearance. The Splunk/Data Engineer develops and maintains the reports and dashboards used by the PMO and the Compliance and Reporting team. This position works with stakeholders to define metrics and turn compliance data into clear, reliable reporting. The minimum 5 years of experience reflects the need for advanced Splunk and data engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains Splunk reports and dashboards for the PMO.

• Builds compliance and reporting dashboards.

• Writes and optimizes SPL searches, alerts, and scheduled reports.

• Onboards and normalizes data sources for reporting.

• Works with stakeholders to define metrics and reporting requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Minimum Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years of data engineering or Splunk development experience.

• Demonstrated advanced SPL and Splunk dashboard development (Dashboard Studio or Simple XML).

• Demonstrated experience with data onboarding, field extraction, and data models.

• Demonstrated scripting experience in Python or a similar language.

Additional Experience:

Splunk Core Certified Power User or Advanced Power User certification.

Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or Architect certification.

Demonstrated experience building compliance or security reporting in a federal environment.
