The nurse will float down to MS/Tele/PCU/Overflow units when needed, and will also float to Overflow PACU and other MS/Tele/PCU and Stepdown units. Weekend rotation is required. This is a float position and floating is required.Key ResponsibilitiesFloat within the ICU Float Pool, covering MS/Tele/PCU/Overflow, Overflow PACU, and Stepdown units as neededPerform and pass an EKG Exam administered on the first day of orientation — must pass in order to move forward with the contractDemonstrate PA Line experience (will be assessed during phone interview and an additional checklist)Work weekends as requiredAdhere to scheduling requirements: no scheduling requests can be accommodated; 7-day maximum; no RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignmentRequired SkillsPA Line experience required — do not submit if this experience is not presentLarge hospital experience required (400-bed or larger facility)EKG proficiency (exam administered at orientation; must pass to proceed)Ability to float across multiple units (ICU, MS/Tele/PCU, Overflow PACU, Stepdown)First-time travelers accepted: must have 400-bed or larger facility experienceEducation RequirementsCA RN License — must be active at time of submission; pending license not acceptedACLS certification requiredBLS certification requiredNIH Stroke Scale certification requiredRequired ExperienceMinimum 2 years of ICU experience requiredWork Environment / Physical RequirementsNight shift: 19:00–7:30 (3x12 Hours)36- or 48-hour weeks availableWeekend rotation requiredFloating required across multiple unitsNo scheduling requests can be accommodatedNo RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; 7-day max RTOFlu vaccine required — no exemptionsCOVID-19 vaccine: not requiredImportant NotesEKG Exam is administered on the first day of orientation.
