Material Specialist

Wabtec | Now Hiring a Material Specialist Location: Selkirk, NY Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience) Schedule: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Wednesday - Saturday (Alternating Wednesdays) Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred Forklift experience required Basic computer and inventory software knowledge Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overnight schedules Key Responsibilities Pull, receive, ship, and track locomotive parts and materials Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock replenishment Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, including LTL and expedited freight Use inventory software and Microsoft Office applications for tracking and reporting Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance Support material forecasting and shop supply needs for locomotive repairs Process warranty claims and assist with inventory reporting Benefits Our client offers a range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement and savings plans; paid holidays and time off; supplemental insurance; and additional wellness or incentive programs.
