Physical Therapist - Darlington, SC

In this contract position, you will evaluate and treat individuals ranging from infants to older adults, supporting their physical mobility, alleviating pain, and promoting overall wellness. This opportunity focuses on outpatient care, with occasional acute care evaluation coverage.


Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Fridays, 8:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Occasional weekend requirement (every 5 weeks) for acute care evaluations

Qualifications:

• Active and valid South Carolina Physical Therapist (SC PT) license (must be attached to resume)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a PT, preferably within a hospital setting
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be included in submission packet)
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care across a broad age and diagnostic spectrum

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using tested therapy interventions
• Implement therapeutic modalities to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability
• Educate patients and families on injury prevention, ergonomics, and restorative therapies
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants and aides during patient interventions
• Collaborate with attending healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
• Develop and promote wellness-oriented programs to prevent loss of mobility
