Manager - Manufacturing Plant Operations

As the Manager - Plant Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing daily activities of the plant production operations. You will develops and manage production schedules to meet internal volume, cost and quality goals. You will analyze production metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified. You will oversee staffing and development of all production supervisors and staff and ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Manage all plant operations to ensure profitability targets, safety standards, and scheduling commitments are met on a day to day basisWork closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determines trends and areas of improvementResponsible for proactive improvement plans to include manufacturing strategies, KPI’s, and new product development with consistent lean mentality approachMonitor operations expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining facility safety and qualityDevelop and execute plant manufacturing budgets including capital expenditure forecastsManagement of professional staff including hiring, coaching, mentoring, training and development to ensure best in class performanceProvide strong leadership to all personnel to meet and exceed performance objectives and ability to encourage professional development at all levels to ensure future growth and reduce turnoverRemove waste and constraints from the production process, improving efficiencies and enhancing productivityCommunicate with internal / external personnel to develop new product strategiesManage the inventory process including procurement, receipt processes, location storage/accuracy, cycle counting and replenishmentQualifications:Bachelor's Degree required5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment5+ years of managing P&L and capital budgets experience2+ years required of Lean and Continuous Improvement experience2+ years of process controls and statistical analysis experience2+ years of managing quality control programsBusiness and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resourcesExcellent communication and computer skills Ability to teach and train policies, procedures and practicesStrong contract negotiation skills with suppliers and contractorsSupply chain management, strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory and warehouse methods and proceduresWesco International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates (“Wesco”) provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
