Line Cook Position

Location: Lalla Grill Promenade – Marina

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Day Shift

Day shifts required. Scheduled shifts will vary based on business needs and staffing requirements.

Pay: $22–$24 per hour (DOE)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Prior experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Formal culinary training preferred.
• Must be fluent in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.
• Strong cooking skills with excellent time management and multitasking ability.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Valid Food Handler Card required shortly after hiring.

Lalla Grill is expanding with the opening of our new location, Lalla Grill Promenade in Marina, joining our sister locations Lalla Grill Del Monte and Lalla Grill Oceanside. We are currently hiring experienced full-time day shift line cooks to support this exciting expansion. Lalla Grill is known for its high-volume service, scratch-made dishes, and energetic atmosphere. If you're a strong line cook who can handle a busy service and contribute to a positive kitchen environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary & Kitchen Operations:

• Execute food preparation and cooking on designated line stations.
• Maintain consistency in portioning, flavor, and presentation.
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen procedures accurately.
• Complete daily prep and keep stations fully stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.

Teamwork & Communication:

• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and FOH.
• Coordinate ticket timing for smooth service.
• Support team members during rush periods.
• Assist with training when assigned.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Professionalism & Problem Solving:

• Stay calm and efficient during peak hours.
• Adapt quickly to changing demands.
• Address food quality and safety concerns promptly.
• Uphold Lalla Grill standards at all times.

Schedule Details:

• 8–10 hour shifts.
• Day shifts required.
• Weekends and holidays may be required.
