Superintendent

HGC Construction is looking for a Superintendent I who takes pride in leadership, accountability, and delivering projects the right way. In this role, you’ll manage field operations with minimal oversight, typically overseeing up to $10 million in annual work, or supporting larger projects under a Superintendent II. You’ll be a hands-on leader in the field—driving safety, quality, schedule, and cost control—while mentoring Assistant Superintendents and helping develop the next generation of leaders. At HGC Construction, we’re not just building structures—we’re building a legacy of quality, integrity, and purpose.JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage on-site construction activities with minimal assistanceOversee and coordinate field operations for projects totaling approximately $10 million annually, or support larger projects under Superintendent IIMentor and assist in developing Assistant Superintendents, with up to two direct reportsAttend, participate in, and lead company meetings, subcontractor meetings, and Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetingsSchedule work activities, allocate resources, and monitor daily project progressEnsure all construction activities meet project specifications and quality standardsImplement and enforce all safety protocols to maintain a safe jobsiteFollow all OSHA, EPA, ODH, and company safety policies and proceduresReview project schedules and ensure milestones and deadlines are achievedPrepare cost estimates for labor, materials, supplies, and other project expensesMonitor project budgets and maintain effective cost controlCoordinate material and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliersCollaborate closely with clients, Project Managers, and other construction professionals on budgets, schedules, and execution strategiesApply efficient, cost-effective management techniques to support project successPerform other duties as assignedBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; or equivalent experience.Over 5 years’ experience in construction managementFit to Work / OSHA 30 certificationActive involvement in community organization8 hours of continuing education annuallyHuseman Group is an EOE/M/F/D/V - Alcohol- and Drug-Free WorkplaceHuseman Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains an Alcohol- and Drug-Free Workplace.
