Responsibilities

Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments

Lead teams through projects to identify and resolve safety risks in food safety and human safety

Maintain expertise on multiple unit operations/systems; demonstrate mastery on some systems, teach others, and drive incremental value to customers

Lead equipment sanitation activities, inspect sanitation quality, and set up complex systems

Perform maintenance, electrical, and controls with a technical focus

Requirements

At least 1 year of sanitation experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Ability to lift consistently & repeatedly, manipulate & transport ingredients or equipment up to 55 lbs

Comfortable working in a pilot plant or production environment

Self-confident in autonomously operating equipment

Able to assess and troubleshoot technical and mechanical problems

Basic proficiency in computer skills (Office Suite and other programs)

Strong knowledge of food safety and human safety practices

Experience working in team environments to achieve results

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to coach, train, and develop others

Translate technical expertise into business impact

Excellent communication skills with peers and customers

Adaptability to dynamic work environments

Effective team collaboration and conflict resolution skills

Quick learner with the ability to apply new concepts productively
